PA House Passes Online Gambling Bill: Vote of 102-89

The Pennsylvania House was in session late Wednesday and voted in favor of legalizing online gambling in the state 102-89.  You were able to watch the voting process take place live here at Gambling911.com.

In a letter to legislators, Treasurer Joe Torsella and Auditor General Eugene DePasquale projected state government may have to borrow as much as $3 billion for operating expenses between this July, and legalized online gambling could help relieve some of the stress.

This bill still has to go through the Senate.

It is the third year a similar bill has passed the House, so this really isn't something new but the momentum appears to be there in 2017 for a Senate approval, albeit the land-based casinos do seem less than thrilled.
