Bookies Get Beat Up Badly With Sunday NFL Games

The online bookies were feeling a lot of pain Sunday night following devastating losses in the NFL.  The betting public, meanwhile, appeared to be sitting pretty.

Without a doubt, the harshest blow came at the hands of the still undefeated Tennessee Titans who beat Chicago by a touchdown.  For whatever reason, Tennessee was only a -3 favorite.    The Titans were the most bet on team everywhere.

The New England Patriots 10 point win over the Buffalo Bills was also a knockout punch to the bookies as was the Baltimore Ravens blowout of Houston.

No Bloodbath For Bookies… But Close

There were not a whole lot of dominant teams getting lopsided action in the NFL Week 9, but there were two standouts that went the way of the public.

Philadelphia as a -7 road favorite in Seattle had well over 75 percent of the action at most online gambling websites heading into game time.  They clobbered Seattle by a score of 26-7.  Some books had the Eagles getting as much as 80 percent or higher action.  Philadelphia was the most bet on team of the afternoon games.

CAP Poker Tournament Raided by Police in Barcelona

According to numerous reports, an online gambling affiliate convention poker tournament has been shut down by Barcelona police.
